User-friendliness and ergonomics, key factors for productivity, are built into the design of the TruBend Series 7000 For TRUMPF, the main idea in product innovation is always energy-efficient productivity of the machines.
Only at a high production rate and optimum resource usage can the energy balance per part pay off. That's why the developers of the latest bending machine, the TruBend Series 7000, focused primarily on the human factor – after all, the human operator is decisive in determining the speed of processes.
That makes optimum working conditions and user-friendly operating elements key factors in productivity. When a press brake operator grows tired, the quantity and quality of the fabricated parts suffer. To circumvent this, the design engineers focused on ergonomics in the development of the TruBend Series 7000.
The operator can operate the machine sitting down, and work without getting overly tired. Gas spring supported pedals allow the height and angle of the foot rests to be adjusted. The arm support is also adjustable in height, so that every operator can set up his or her workplace individually.
The monitor for the TASC 6000 control system of the TruBend Series 7000 can be adjusted electronically and set to the appropriate angle. TRUMPF LED lighting, tried and trusted in medical technology, is available for the space in front of and behind the beam, ensuring correct lighting conditions precisely at the bend, without heat radiation.
A laser diode also projects the bend line onto the surface of the sheet metal, simplifying the accurate guiding of the workpiece into the back gauge. The bending speed can be further increased simply by making adjustments to the machine parts relevant to the bending process, the back gauge and the beam. Here, too, the developers of the TruBend Series 7000 have come up with a few good ideas: the back gauge is made of lightweight carbon fiber.
The surfaces on which the bent part contacts the fingers of the back gauge are made of hardened steel. So, the TruBend Series 7000 sets new standards for dynamics, yielding accurate results at the same time. The electronic torque motor, which drives the beam, can deliver power even at low speeds. It ensures rapid axis movements and is low maintenance, since it has no gears and therefore, needs no gear oil.
The TruBend Series 7000 is a high-end solution for the production of small bent parts. It is made for parts with areas no larger than a DIN A3 sheet. This type of sheet metal part is particularly common in the production of automation and electrical equipment as well as in mechanical engineering and in the supply industry. Bending such parts with large, heavy press brakes would be a waste of space and energy.
